I read your book around when it first came out. We were at the Christian book store and the cover just caught my eye. Little did I know that Under the Overpass would become my favorite book and change my life/mindset forever. Still to this day I think about your experience.

My dad quit his full time job 4 years ago when God called him into full time ministry that caters to "the least of these" ie mentally ill, homeless, inner city daycare centers, the elderly, impoverished families in the city, and neglected people in the Appalachian Mountain region in Jackson Kentucky. We have been serving the people that most churches ignore. Under the Overpass has done so much for myself and I even gave it to my younger sister to read. She loved it. My family has trusted God to provide our needs and He continues to amaze us everyday. Finding out that there was a website to your book made my day; finding out that there was going to be movie probably made my life. I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your story with us, it has truley been a blessing to our family!

Dear Mike,

Our Sunday School class was challenged to read your book & see what we could do as a class to show our faith & help those in need on the streets of Cleveland Ohio.

After reading your book I was just amazed at how I thought I was a humble person but your thoughts & experiences convicted my heart so much. I used to buy food for homeless when I worked down town. Rarely giving them money. Eye contact is huge when it comes to touching someone who is lost or broken.

I hope to work with our CRBC (Columbia Rd Baptist Church) Sunday school class & church to do some kind of out reach. We are looking at doing gallon sized baggies with McD gift cards, t shirts, socks, hygiene items, etc.......

Thank you for your wonderful Godly love. I am sharing your book with everyone I know! Hoping to get my husband to read it next!

God bless you in Jesus name!

Can't wait for the movie!

I can't wait for this to come out. I work at an AGRM in Citrus County, Florida, and you will be coming here soon to speak from what Iunderstand. I read your book recently and was blown away to feel my own experiences put on paper. I have seen both sides of homelessness, and you put it in a whole new perspective for me! I can't wait to pass the book and movie on to our guests here at the shelter. God Bless!

Mike, just read your book and was profoundly moved. The one thing I noticed when reading is that people would ask you if you were Christians and then help you. What if you said no and weren't? Was that a criteria? Are we only supposed to help Christians. I found that disturbing. Just think of all the times one could share their faith if they helped those who weren't Christians!

I look forward to the movie. Thank you for sharing your experience.
