Well, I'm a senior in High school right now in The Twin Cities area in Minnesota. I live in an middle-upper class neighborhood. I have my own car, room, job, friends, and everything else I need. I have always looked at homeless people as being lazy and just annoying! I have always viewed them as sucking up our money to buy beer and drugs, which I will not support. But after reading this book, I have realized that there are so many real homeless people who really need us to reach out to them, because if we don't, who really will? Don't just give them money, but use good judgement and buy them dinner and share the love of Christ. This book has really shown me how to express the love that Jesus freely gives us.

After reading this book I am determined that I need to set things right in my own life and be the church to my community. I shouldn't just keep expecting the community to come to church. My relationship with God needs to stretch beyond the four walls and into the real hurt. If all Jesus ever did was spend his time in the synagogs, how would he ever be able to help the lost? I especially need to go and seek the lost, and I can hardly wait.
