There's this guy who stands on the side of road and holds up a sign that usually says something like "Turn to Jesus or burn in hell" and shouts at people as they drive by. Most people have a guy like this where they live. I went and talked to this guy and tried to tell him (nicely) that this message he was projecting was turning people away from the church. Of course he quoted a lot of scripture and tried to convince me that his way of telling God's message was the best, I didn't want to argue with him but I really didn't know how to convince him that he needed to change his message. What would you say? I tried everything I can think of, and I'm not very good at quoting scripture but I would love to hear what you would have to say. Most people might think that I should give up, but I've seen how people have been hurt because of people like this guy, and aren't we supposed to correct someone when their not doing what would glorify God?

tell him that Jesus says "I came into to the world not to condemn the world, but to save it". tell him that if Jesus is in Him, and if He is "the same yesterday, today, and forever", that this man should not condemn anyone, nor should you. offer this man the love of christ, invite him to come and share supper at your house, because Jesus also said "whosoever comes to me I will not reject". but please don't get too angry at him. Jesus is big enough to show him the Way if he is truly seeking to please God. you should definitely pray for him, though.
